The Jogindra Central Cooperative Bank Ltd was established on 20-08-1924. The Bank working with the network of 30 branches & 1 Extension Counter in District Solan. The Bank is registered under the Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act, 1968 and has been licensed by RBI to commence and carried on banking business vide license No. RPCD No. 36 dated 14-11-2011.

History

The Bank was established on 20.08.1924 at Nalagarh by the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Nalagarh State and registered as “Nalagarh Central Cooperative Bank Limited” with the objective like carry on the easy banking credit business, to provide credit facilities to its members on as convenient and easy terms as practicable. At the time of registration area of operation of Bank was Nalagarh State of Punjab.


In 1961 area of operation extended over Sub-Division Nalagarh, Sub-Division Kandaghat, Kalka Proper and Pinjore Quanungo Circle.


In 1969, registration in1970 the area of Operation extended over District Shimla.


In 1970, registration in 1971 the word “Punjab” was replaced with “Himachal Pradesh”


In 2006-07, the Bank has computerized its all branches under TBA (Total Branch Automation). The Software “BANCMATE” was purchased from M/s. NTPL (Natural Technology Pvt. Ltd.) Jaipur which was later on merged with HCL.


Now, the Bank work on Core Banking Solution with the help and guidance of NABARD which is the Implementing Agency for this project. "FINACLE" software of M/S Infosys will be used by the M/s Wipro for the implementation of Core Banking Solution in the Bank.


The Bank is providing RTGS and NEFT facilities to its customers. The Bank has implemented Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Beema Yojna (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Beema Yojna (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojna (ATY) in the Bank. The Bank is providing facilities of ATM-cum-Debit (Rupay) Card and KCC Card to its customers.
